This ride has been an amazing experience so far. I’ve met so many people who have shared jaw dropping experiences with me along the way. I’ve been writing down my own collection of thoughts and experiences as well for a book I’m working on. I’m sharing one entry here, as it was written a week ago. Enjoy!
I’m in my fourth city, Albuquerque, NM. My legs have gained some strength and the ride is becoming a little easier.
It has some benefits I hadn’t thought of prior to the start of the ride which my body greatly appreciates.
Being outside daily, for extended hours is starting to feel natural and refreshing. While I initially thought of the temperatures the air may bring, the air in the high desert is clean.
The sun provides healthy blessings. Natural sunlight triggers the body’s production of vitamin D. Vitamin D protects against inflammation, lowers high blood pressure, helps muscles and improves brain function. Sunlight has been proven to have an impact on depression. 15-20 minutes of exposure to the sun can have a huge impact on a persons well being.
This ride is taking on multiple causes. Originally meant to bring awareness to the Real Estate and Real Estate related fields, it has quickly morphed into a ride encompassing health, well-being and wealth.
The team and I search daily for articles to inform the public on the topics of health and wealth, which also helps me learn more. Some of the articles we find about health focus on how easy it is to be a little healthier just by getting outdoors and being active. It makes me wonder why more people don’t practice these easy and affordable habits.
I continue my personal research on the income and education gaps because they are at the root of everything. I’m also inspired to share this information to help inform others on the issues so we can begin to find ways to close them.
We have to be proactive in addressing the income and education gaps. We must seek out the information and hold government elected officials accountable for making sure information channels are open and everyone has access to the ability to climb the social ladder.
